The Project Superintendent is responsible for the overall supervision of a construction project, managing day to day operations and quality control.

Responsibilities:

• Be at the office at 5:30 am to meet with the Operations Manager before leaving for the jobsite.

• Oversee the project to make sure that the work is done according to plans and specifications and conforms with the project timetable.

• Continually facilitate commitment to safety.

• Daily field reports and timesheets using an online app.

• Participate in OAC meetings.  Facilitate communication with the Owner and consultants.

• Meet with inspectors.

• Document and promptly complete all punchlists.

• Be familiar with and responsible for the project budgets and manage manpower accordingly.

• Work closely with the Project Managers.

• Provide and update the project schedule, including 3-week schedules issued every week.

• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience as a Project Superintendent in commercial construction including ground up and tenant improvements.  Relevant project experience is mandatory and must include projects in the +$10 million range.

• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

• Ability to review RFIs and submittals.

• Ability to maintain as builts.

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

• Ability to work with and schedule a large team of subcontractors, material suppliers, and our own field crew.

• Ability to create overall critical path schedules (MS Projects preferred) and updated 3 week schedules.

• Proactive with problem solving and safety issues.

• Knowledge of OSHA and HIOSH laws.

• Ability to track and manage labor costs on all projects.

• Ability to conduct preinstallation meetings with subcontractors.

• Proficiency with computers (MS Projects, MS Office, Bluebeam).
